3Shape TRIOS now integrated with SomnoMed Sleep Solutions
SomnoMed will use the TRIOS scan to design and manufacture sleep apnea and bruxism devices.
With one click, dental and sleep professionals can use their 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner to send the patient's digital impressions directly to SomnoMed to create their sleep and molar dental instruments.
Patients underwent oral scanning with 3Shape TRIOS. The doctor then simply selects SomnoMed from the list of integrated solution providers on the TRIOS CommunicateTM cloud and immediately sends the scan results to SomnoMed.
SomnoMed uses TRIOS Intraoral Scan CAD / CAM to design and manufacture their sleep apnea and bruxism devices. This creates a fully digital workflow that simplifies the front-end steps of the equipment manufacturing process; ensures the accuracy and predictability of the production, and delivers the case to the dentist more quickly.
Fast turnover means getting patients into treatment faster. Due to the accuracy, speed, image quality and ease of use of TRIOS, the entire fitting procedure is more comfortable.
Digital impressions using 3Shape TRIOS also means that patients no longer need to perform old-fashioned, sticky, sticky simulated impressions when they are comfortable with the device.
3Shape "3Shape is very excited to work with SomnoMed to create a digital workflow that will make sleep device manufacturing workflows more efficient, while also allowing patients to receive treatment faster and get a better experience," said Allan Hyldal, vice president of 3Shape Orthodontics. "3Shape TRIOS' award-winning technology, as well as our increasing number of integrations, truly opens the door to dental and sleep professionals and their patients offering the widest range of treatment options."
"SomnoMed is pleased to validate TRIOS through strict patient control trials across multiple regions and users," said Christopher Bedford, vice president of research and development at SomnoMed. "The results of the trial are very good, clinicians enjoy faster turnaround times, easier device delivery, Clearer and more objective technical communication, as well as fewer patient visits throughout the critical adaptation phase of treatment. The patient descriptions are simple, fast, and enjoyable Dental Chairside experiences, with fewer challenges in the important occlusion registration phase.”
